Our Locations

in Italy and USA

Our Community was founded in Rome, Italy. It is there, at the heart of the Catholic Church that we currently have our house of formation and an apostolic house. In 2000, the Community opened our first house in the United States. We now have one house in the USA, in Texas. In each house a daily rhythm of prayer, community life, study and apostolate takes place.

Rome

The two apostolic houses in Rome are dedicated to evangelization and outreach at the Sapienza University, local parishes, and St. Peter’s Square. Our sisters travel regularly to Aquila to minister to the college students there. They also plan and give retreats and formation for our Collaborators of your Joy Lay Movement.

The formation house is a house dedicated to forming future Apostles of the Interior Life and helping the women continue to discern God’s call in their life. They are guided by three of the older sisters. The young women in formation daily attend philosophy and theology classes at the Pontifical University of St. John in Lateran, and dedicate the rest of their time to prayer, community life, and, to certain degree, also to apostolate. Their formation can last around 5-6 years.

College Station, Texas

In 2008 we arrived on the campus of Texas A & M to serve at the St. Mary’s Catholic Center, which is known to be a very large and active campus ministry program. The ministry of spiritual direction and spiritual formation, through giving retreats and talks, is our main apostolate at St. Mary’s. We also provide a discernment program called Discernment Deep Dives. We assist the Diocese of Austin by helping to lead vocation events. As in every house of the Apostles of the Interior Life the daily presence and witness of consecrated life and prayer is a gift we seek to give to those we minister to. Thus we open our house to the students for movie nights, Italian cooking lessons, discernment gatherings and prayer times in our chapel.
