Celebration of a “Yes” to Christ

In a small makeshift chapel, in 2010, Sr. Kalin heard God asking her by name to be His. Seven years later at the St. Lawrence Center, where Sr. Kalin met Christ in a deeper way during college, she professed her vows of poverty, chastity and obedience as an Apostle of the Interior Life. Many of her friends and family from Axtell, Kansas were able to witness this event. She was also surrounded by many of her Sisters who also renewed their vows in the solemn celebration. Archbishop Naumann celebrated the Mass alongside concelebrant, Bishop David Konderla, who is the former chaplain of Texas A&M and current bishop of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Many priests concelebrated, including the priests of the Apostles of the Interior Life and the dear spiritual director of Sr. Kalin, Fr. Jonathan Raia. Following the Mass there was a reception to celebrate the life of Sr. Kalin and show how she arrived at her “yes” to the Lord through the accompaniment of parents, siblings, friends and Sisters.
